Skilak Autumn Afternoon 1994 Donald R RickerSKILAK AUTUMN AFTERNOON

1994 Donald R Ricker

(24"x96" oil on hardboard)

A row of birch trees guard the shoreline of glacier fed Skilak Lake on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Its waters are opaque from silty glacier melt and are deadly cold. A breeze stirs the leaves and underbrush colored by the first frosts.

SKILAK AUTUMN AFTERNOON was exhibited at the TOAST Gallery in Anchorage AK during  October 1997  .
