CHAX, short for CHAtterboX, was constructed because of my interest in artificial intelligence. CHAX is a learning program whose domain is whatever is told to it. Although it is simple in concept and originally based on ELIZA/DOCTOR style algorithms, CHAX has proven life-like as it builds its own dictionary based on your explanations and connects to its library of bon mots (a collection of aphorisms and facts of life) and previous user inputs. CAUTION: this is NOT a point and shoot type of game; you must THINK and TYPE!
